Make a Difference

One  of our core intentions at Vitality at Work is to support not for profit  organizations with a meaningful purpose embrace their full potential  through the application of happiness practices. This will be achieved  through many different initiatives including:

  • Raising the funds for organizations running programs that support cultivating mindfulness and other well being practices
  • Volunteer our time to run Vitality Programs in organizations.

Current Initiative

Our  current initiative is to raise funds to support Women of Courage  courses at Outward Bound Canada (OBC). Outward Bound courses provide  life-transforming experiences, especially for people who are recovering  from trauma or facing a major transition in their lives.  Their  specialized charitable programs - funded by individual donations, grants  and OBC fundraising initiatives - ensure that those who have the  potential to benefit most from an Outward Bound experience have the  opportunity to do so. Learn more here about Charitable Programs supported by Outward Bound.

Women  of Courage courses have been running for over 30 years and offer women  survivors of violence and/or abuse the opportunity to experience  adventure in the Canadian wilderness with other women who share a common  history. By providing the appropriate challenges and supports within a  restorative natural setting, this unique program helps Women of Courage  to transition from a position of crisis to a place of strength.

Vitality at Work is raising the funds through the Mindful Coaching workshop we are running in June at Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario for individuals to participate in these life-changing programs.

 Past Initiatives

Our most  recent initiative to support women entrepreneurs in emerging countries  was to fund and support the facilitation of a leadership workshop with  Zawadisha in August, 2014 in Kenya, Africa.

Vitality at Work  raised the funds through the Vitality Workshops that we ran in May and  June at Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario. The three day workshop in  Kenya, Africa called "Leading and Thriving through Appreciation" was  focused on some core principles from positive psychology including the  application of Character Strengths and Appreciative Inquiry. It was an  extremely successful three days.

The Vitality at Work  Institute will continue to work to support the application of positive  psychology in Africa in partnership with Zawadisha.

A portion of  the profit from all our workshops will be going to fund  further leadership development sessions for entrepreneurs in emerging  countries.
